Andover Community Events (ACE) was created with one simple idea – to bring people together. We're proud to call Andover home, and we believe there's something special about a town that comes together to celebrate, support one another and create lasting memories. Whether it's families lining the streets to wave at Santa, cheering on homemade soapboxes as they race downhill, or exploring one of our themed trails through the town centre, every event we organise has the same purpose: to put smiles on faces while supporting local good causes.

ACE began in 2020, during one of the most challenging periods many of us have ever experienced. As the Covid pandemic changed daily life, Kevin Rush wanted to bring a little festive magic back to the community. The first Santa Cruises travelled through the streets of Andover, bringing music, laughter and Christmas spirit to thousands of families who were unable to enjoy the celebrations they were used to. The response from the community was overwhelming and made one thing very clear – Andover wanted more events that brought people together.

From that single idea, Andover Community Events has grown into a volunteer-led, non-profit organisation delivering some of the town's most popular community events. Every year we work alongside local businesses, charities, volunteers and supporters to create experiences that people of all ages can enjoy.

As well as creating unforgettable days out, we're passionate about giving something back. Through our events we've raised thousands of pounds for local charities, helping organisations such as the Countess of Brecknock Hospice, Andover Mind, Andover Foodbank and many other worthy causes continue their vital work in our community. Every ticket bought, donation made, sponsor secured and volunteer hour given helps make a real difference.

We're incredibly proud that what started as one festive idea has become a growing calendar of community events. From the high-speed excitement of the Soapbox Derby to magical Christmas experiences, themed family trails and new ideas still to come, we're always looking for fresh ways to make Andover an even better place to live, work and visit.

​

None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers, sponsors, local businesses, community groups and everyone who comes along to our events. Together, we're creating more than just great days out – we're creating memories, strengthening community spirit and showing what's possible when people work together.

This is only the beginning, and we can't wait to share what comes next.
